Not even black.
Everyone in this category sells you certified organic cotton and then dyes it. We leave it undyed. There is no black to sit against your skin or leach in the wash, because we never added it. What you see is the colour of the plant. That is not a label claim. You can see it, and you can verify it.
Why people are leaving dyed cotton.
The switch-
01No dye on your most sensitive skin.Undyed means there is nothing to leach, nothing to transfer, even when you sweat all day. The one place you would not want a chemical is the one place we left it out.
-
02Softer with every wash, not thinner. There is no finish sprayed on to wash away. Undyed organic cotton breaks in over months instead of breaking down over weeks.
-
03Cooler from morning to night.Organic cotton moves heat and moisture away instead of holding it in. You stop thinking about it, which is the point.
-
04GOTS certified at every stage.Independently checked, from the field to the seam. Not a logo bought for the label. You can ask for the certificate.
-
05Made in Tiruppur, by a named team.Cut and sewn where the cotton is grown, in one of the world's knitwear capitals, by people we can name and stand behind.
Fit, feel and features
A cut that sits comfortably and stays put. Soft covered waistband with no logo shouting. Flat seams that lie down against the skin. Breathable knit that keeps its shape through the wash.
Material and care
100 percent GOTS certified organic cotton, undyed, no bleach, no chemical finish. Machine wash cold with like colours. Tumble dry low or line dry. No softener needed, the cotton does that on its own over time.
Certifications
GOTS certified organic cotton at every stage of production, independently audited. Undyed by choice, so there is no dye process to certify away. Ask us for the current certificate any time.
Nothing to hide. So here is the whole of it.
Every cell in the Mad Minimalist column is something you can check yourself, on the label, in the fabric, or in our lab report. Read across and compare it to what usually sits against your skin. The other columns describe how those fibres are typically made, not any one brand.

A fair note. The three right-hand columns describe how each category of fibre is generally made and worn. Any individual brand can do better or worse than its category. We have kept these descriptions to plain, checkable facts about the material, not claims about health or any competitor.
If any line in our column ever stops being true, that is a bug. Tell us and we will fix it or pull it.
