The routine
Four lines- Wash Cold machine wash, gentle cycle
- With Mild detergent, no bleach, no softener
- Dry In shade, off direct heat
- Iron Low, only if you must
Why so little
On purposeFabric softeners coat the fibre and reduce how cotton breathes. You do not need them here, the cotton is already soft and only gets softer.
Skip the dryer where you can. Air drying keeps the shape and saves the piece, and the planet, a little every time.
